New Rank Logo - Feedback

Good evening,

I was wondering what brought up the change to the new eGO logo. I understand updating the forums and making it look new and fresh might seem like a good time to update some graphics. But these new rank insignias just don't seem to do EdgeGamers justice. It puts off a childish vibe and somewhat cartoonish. I don't want to disrespect the artist, nothing is wrong with the logo. All that i am saying is that it doesn't fit well. Like trying to fit a corner puzzle piece into the centre. The old logos (in my opinion) demand respect, show maturity and look damn sexy.

Was there ever a vote put out to see what the "community" would like?

This is my only gripe about transitioning over to v4. Excellent job coordinating this effort and getting eGO back up and running without many major hiccups.

This was the inspiration behind the design. Wanted to throw back to the original rank images that we used when we switched to vBulletin. It also takes shape after our in-game tags =(e)= =(eG)= =(eGO)=

This style is kind of similar to old ones. But i agree with you slightly. I believe it's the font. The pictures themselves look great and they are even great with the font. But would maybe look better with a different font. All in all I think they look pretty sweet. I'm always open to change.

Agreed. The font is the issue; design is fine.

It's just using a basic san serif font. I know people are used to super futuristic and techno fonts being in their logos, it was time for a change up.

Should with with Comic Sans. You know you want to.
