The development team of Days of War have announced a release date for Early Access release on steam! On January 26th DoW is finally going to be up on steam for purchase.

They have an update on the development of the game such as maps and factions. This can be seen on either their KickStarter post or on their Steam post. For those of you have the game already they are hosting another stress test:

Days of War Kickstarter said:
This weekend we are going to be doing another stress test on Sunday at 3pm EST. We learned a ton from our last one where we had 75+ players in one server and have made some changes to improve stability at this scale.

We will send an email out with full details later this week.

In case any of you are unaware the Steam page for Days of War is live. Make sure to follow the game so that you can receive updates in your activity feed.

I will happily purchase it...but my heart will always be DoD:S :)

Actually been looking forward to getting this game. I missed out on the kick starter campaign donating for early early access. I emailed about it after the fact but never heard back. Hopefully it lives up to the hype! Stoked to try it out, more so then any other game outside of my Source game release in 04/05

Thanks Pengu, I'm very excited to try this game when it comes out!

Awesome!!!

Posts are stating the early release price will be $24.99.

i paid 60$ to fund this game, got the beta, and only played it 2 times.. should have just waited until release where it will probably be cheaper. oh well..

you never know your 60 bucks may have been the only reason it is able to be released!! never underestimate your value to them and the rewards you will recieve in the future as result

Hey DarkShadow, if you purchase Windows and have the space on your machine, you can dual boot Windows to play, using the Bootcamp assistant. Take a look at this document here: https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT201468

If i remember correctly you can either run both at the same time, or full on switch between Windows or Mac OS. From what I read online, its safer to run just a single OS rather then a virtual machine/dual boot.

Oh and also don't forget that Battalion 1944 is another world war 2 shooter coming out, but that is using the Unreal 4 engine :D

Bootcamp is an assistant for creating a dual-boot. Virtualbox or VMware would be software used to run virtualization, as in both at the same time. For gaming, having as many resources available as possible is optimal, so dual booting is the safest and best option in this case :)

Huh, I always heard it drains the battery more and puts more stress on the machine. I had my machine with Mac and windows OS at one point. Whenever I wanted to change I would restart the laptop and it would only be a single OS. That way I wouldn't run into the issue with some obscure compatibility issue that wouldn't play windows games since it still read I had a Mac OS.
