I hope this game is Amazing!
This is very exciting! If the developers can "modernize" the fun and instant gratification of DoDs that would be amazing. I'm so hoping they stick to the roots of the DoDs style of game play and don't stray too far. I'm imagining some of the successful DoDs maps but with really nice graphics, detail, sound effects and "realism." Could you imagine having some more grenades? Better smoke? Better awards and badges to earn? A personal inventory screen with all the "medals" you have won??? Unique medals for each class? Real historical authenticity, uniforms and rank? Blood (Except for the Allies)? Maybe have a small map where you have to move a tank as a team to a certain check point (like a tug of war type). I know that sounds cheesy but if done correctly could be really fun.
I've only seen one video of the game play and thought it was very well done. (I think it was a DoDs map...maybe Donner)
I can't wait to see how my beloved Thompson gun is....plus the Assault Class should be equipped with a knife and not just be able to punch people!!!!! After all the Assault class is the most important position for any team. J/K

So YES....I want this to be successful for the developers and community. This game has the opportunity to be something "very" special. I hope to be part of the Early Access players to help offer suggestions for the game. Truthfully I could never figure out how to get the Beta version. The website confused me.

Movement feels good, for the most part. Love the thompson. Not tried the rifles yet.
No SLI support yet, as only one of my GPUs runs when in game. Turned off all effects, and settings to low with AA off to get 70-80 fps.
Not sure if it is me, but I seem to die too easily. Think it has to do with the washed out buildings and player models blending together.
Not use to the HUD. Would like to be able to change it.

I played a few minutes last night on Thunder/Donner. I had a lot of fun! It is definitely a successor to DoD:S. Interesting to be able to use ironsights on automatic weapons and not just rifles. Game ran well even on relatively high settings for me, my rig isn't insane or anything either (i5-3570, GTX 960). I felt I died a bit quick but not the end of the world, I got quite a few good kills quickly. I felt like you run out of sprint ability super fast on some classes.
Definitely worth picking up though!
