Sent PMs not showing up

Since nobody seems to have reported this yet, at least it is not listed in the open bug report section, I am guessing it is user error. However, I will go ahead and post it anyway NotLikeThis
For some reason, I can only see my "Sent Items" from the old forums, none of the PMs that I have sent on the new forums show up in this folder. How do I know they even got to their destination and did not get lost? They do show up in the shoutbox at least, alerting the person I sent them a PM, so of course they are getting sent, I just can't see them in my sent box anymore.

When you send a PM have you nee clicking the box next to "send myself a copy" ?

The old forums defaulted to this option, or it only needed to be enabled once and it stayed enabled because I did not click this box every time I sent a PM. Yet, every PM I sent was always in my sentbox as well.

Possibly they disabled it from defaulting to checked, or staying enabled once checked for all future PMs, because of the past issue with storage, or possibly moving all that to the new forums. I remember in TS they said they would be deleting PMs because there were way too many and for us to download them if we want to keep them

I just tested it, and I checked the box and it sent myself a copy. However, when I went to send another PM the box was unchecked again.

If it is due to storage, I can live with that, I just prefer it to work like email where you always have a copy.

I remember someone else having this problem. Check your user (general) settings and there should be an option there to check whether or not to keep copies of PMs (next to "Sent Private Messages"). Make sure it's checked to keep a copy.

The box in the send PM screen is now always checked automatically once you select that option in the general settings, thanks!

Since the new web page I have found "probably my fault" but pm's dont do anything for me, I try to read them but normally very confused, so if any one pm's me be prepared not to get a reply. I liked the old web page and got on with it very well.
