The m249 should be wildy inaccurate to spray and unable to 1 shot, like it is in CS:GO. If servers weren't auto $16k it would be fine. However, this gun is way too strong to be bought every round especially on T-side Italy, where Ts can just hold an angle and spray. Trading kills as CTs is nearly impossible because the m249 has 100 bullets, and the T can just hold mouse1 as CTs peek. This is one of the primary reasons Italy always seems to be T-side dominant.
I just see players running around holding mouse1 and somehow headshotting everyone in their way, because the spray doesn't spread enough, the running accuracy is too high, and the sheer amount of bullets almost guarantees a stray headshot. I see people getting randomly headshotted in long hall entrance from T house. I see T's running through apartments holding mouse1 and annihilating everyone in their path.
Preferably the m249 should be removed completely but this would probably cause an outrage of the players who only use the para. I think it should be limited to 1 per team, 2 maximum. This way, the para can only be used to hold one angle (or two), and CT's can communicate to either avoid the para or flank/nade the player. Another option is to allow 1 awp per team and ban the para, because awps can be traded after the first kill due to the delay between shots. The most important outcome for the limitation of the para is balancing the T and CT side. Another positive outcome is raising the skill level and making the server more competitive. I cannot think of a negative outcome besides the people who exclusively use the para have to learn how to use a real rifle. Arguably, this is a positive outcome because it forces them to practice their aim.
