Hello,

I have been having this issue for a while now and I tried to uninstall Punkbuster and reinstall it as some posts have said about this issue and nothing has worked (except I got kicked because it failed to find the Punkbuster.exe)

My ping on the =eGO= server runs in the 90's and I have a speed test at speedtest.net of over 150 down and 10 up.

I have reset my modem and I plus into it with a cable so no wireless issue to be had.

I have this same issue no matter if it's the =eGO= server or one of the others so I don't think it's a server issue.

At the moment I am reinstalling my BFBC2 in hopes that will solve the issue but until then does anyone have a clue what my problem is?

Thanks in advance,

Maybe try disabling your anti-virus while you play the game?

Check to see if your modem/router/switch has the EA Tunnel and Toredo(?) enabled in port forwarding.

Hello Slacker64, This issue most likely won't be because of your equipment. If the information given above doesn't help you, I want to say that it'd be because of your location based on your speed test results. Depending on where you're located and where the server is hosted it can cause you some issues.

Also, if it can't find Punkbuster.exe, have you added the game to Punkbuster?

Go to punkbuster site (evenbalance.com) download PBsetup.exe, add Battlefield to list and let it update it.

See you ingame.

Trace complete.

This trace was ran from our Heavy Metal Server to your IP. It shows that between lines 7-9 is where the ping spikes are happening which is a hub closer to your state of Oklahoma on COX network provide them this trace and see if there are any issues at that hub or if they can reroute it better at those hubs.COX is usually a great high speed fiber optic provider so i would always check to make sure there is not anything wrong with hardware at those hubs that redirect your connection through. Sometimes might have to have them switch hubs if available.

Thanks for the quick response I will follow these instructions and let you know if it works.

Yes I had just reinstalled the Punkbuster and added the BFBC2 game and then tried to play when it kicked me for not finding the .exe,
Sometimes I can play 2 to 4 matches and then the problem and sometimes it is the first one and I get disconnected a few times.

I have since reinstalled my BFBC2 and played a couple a matches last night and it seemed ok.

Thanks for doing the Trace route I had planned on contacting COX and asking about the route but I hadn't had the time, this will help a lot thanks

Did you allowed the punkbuster work with your firewall ?
