Alright simple question.
IS Prop Blocking KOS?
I know prop pushing, etc are kosable.

Alot of people have been saying its not kosable and all this crap. So, i just kinda wanna end this argument.
Is it kos or not.
Answer down below..

You'll get a lifetime supply of fresh watermelon.

there has been some confusion recently with the rule, so lets clarify some things:

- Prop Blocking is NOT a KoSable act, and Prop pushing is NOT KoSable either, EVEN if they kill someone.

- Both are considered griefing, but you cannot kill someone for doing the act.

- Killing someone by pushing them off the map with a prop is considered RDMing, so punishes will be added appropriately.

If you see someone doing such an act, please report it through admin chat so admins can be notified of the situation, but you should never kill someone for doing it. :)

If people are killing someone for it, report it thru admin chat as well, so we can appropriately handle the situation.

Inb4 "where in the rules does it say that"

TTT Rules said:
No Prop Killing.

Do not kill rule-breakers or seek revenge - only shoot in self-defense and not for previous rounds reasons

To add to Fist, Putting props in a doorway is not KOSable, but holding props in a doorway is not allowed(Don't know if KOSable).

I think the only action with a prop that is close to kosable is someone using said prop to push you off a cliff or otherwise kill you. At that point, you can reasonably invoke self defense.

its really not enough to call self-defense tho. 99.99% of the time you should never be in a situation in the first place to be killed by being pushed off with a prop. If you know what is going on, you can react easily in time to prevent a situation where you can be killed like that. If someone is prop pushing, just step away from them, and notify an admin of what is happening. There should be no need to ever shoot at someone for pushing you with a prop.

Ok what if someone is trying to purposely get you stuck in a prop? Like on ttt_clue even though i tried to avoid it someone was trying to get me caught in one of the chandeliers. That's not exactly the same as prop pushing so is there some rule against that?

There's a lot of situations when it comes to prop blocking or anything related to it. I suggest you should get on TS and express your concerns to an Admin or even better an Admin Trainer.

This falls under prop blocking, but not pushing. Straight form the TTT training manual "Prop blocking is the act of holding a object in the air to impede movement through that space. This is not allowed." It falls under the griefing category, and is admined the same way as if they were prop pushing. However, its worth noting that not all the time its prop blocking. If they are moving an object and you get stuck inside for a quick second, oh well; no harm no foul. But if they are actively sticking it inside of others to purposefully impede their movement, or are doing it to excess, then it should be admined appropriately.

And to go along with barricading being fine as long as you don't actively hold the object (prop blocking), you also cannot shoot people for destroying your barricade. Destroying a barricade is not a traitorous act. And if someone has a room barricaded, and you fire through the door at them, that IS a traitorous act. Whether you intend to hit the person on the other side of the door is irrelevant, you should not be emptying your magazine through doors as an innocent. I know we have these problems a lot on ttt_clue
