Tech Help Card keeps droping to 405 MHz

Up to a week ago my pc ran fine, Then a new driver was released.
I did the stupid thing and updated, but taht should no problem as i had the old driver...but NOPE

Now my PC seem's to drop it's power to 405 when out of a game and forces me to reboot...I need some help fixing this..
I have a GTX 555 card, cant upgrade so that is a no go.
 
Have you tried downgrading the drivers to the previous version?
 
Yes, I've tryed evey driver for windows 10, Took me 7 hours of uninstalling drivers rebooting then installing new ones..
 
Also as soon as i exit games, if i load a game with in 5 min's The driver goes into idle mode once i exit it.

=(eGO)= Zelda: It seem's from what i've been reading is there is an idle mode for the 555, But the companey forgot to fix the problem so that the idle mode ends. People have fixed it by turning off the idle mode but i cant find where to.

=(eGO)= Zelda: Right now, as i idle in FFonline, My gpu is reading 824, Memeory clock at 2079 Voltage at 1050 and the GPU temp is 176.

=(eGO)= Zelda: if i exit, eveything stays the same but the GPI drops to 405 and wont go back up unless i reboot.
iSimon: Doesn't go back up if you open another game or anything?

You have the gpu info. So you are using msi afterburner or evga
Precision XOC?

I ask because you have not stated when your card switches to idle mode, using these overclock tools, you are not able to force your card into performance mode to play your game.

Not the most idea solution, but saves you from rebooting every time.

All I can seem to find on it is try running it in windowed mode. I know that is like asking to shovel snow naked but it might work. I cringe at windowed mode but if its to keep my frame rates at a playable level its work a try. Im finding this is a consistent bug throughout NVidia GTX from the 550s up to the 700 cards.

By tweeking some of the cards settings, I was able to keep my games going for a full 24 hours. And to answer the other question, Yes i have to overclock it due to the 555 Support is over, and they delibertly droped the voltage in it so it won't run back in 7. It's all over the net on that. I was fine for a month, But then updated the driver...like i normaly do...and Now anytime i'm out of a game and it's barily doing anything it locks at 405 instead of siting at 718.
 
So I fixed it my self, By spending some cash on a new pc :)
