Hey everyone, so im gonna buy Raspberry Pi & put Retropie on it so I can play NES, SNES, Genesis (basically all the good classics on it). My first question is what is the standard size micro sd card that I need to get that would be a good amount of storage for all the emulators for it? My second question is what amount of soldering (if any) is actually required for putting this all together? Also the latest version is 3 model B. Is that the best one to get?

After hearing bout other people overriding Nintendo by making their own version with Raspberry Pi & Retropie, I figured I would go that route. I heard that a lot of people were really disappointed in Nintendo's route by being very limiting on this whole idea.

Anyways, im sure that I will have my questions along the way, but this is really all I can think of for now. If you have more information that is needed, please feel free to share. Im really curious to get all this setup for sure!

Ok, So my school has 2 raspi's and the standard size for basic browsing and using libreoffice is 8 gig, if you wanted to use an emulator then 32 should be sufficient for most NES and SNES games depending on how many you have. 2: Depending on if you want a prebuilt pi or want to do custom specs then you might need to solder. 3: I personally would get the latest one for bios upgrades and the sort. (p.s. GET A CASE!). If you need to know more then just pm me or something.

Going off memory of what I've got my first gen PSP running, the emulators and roms are all (typically) only a few megs in size. So a 32GB card will be more than sufficient.
