Right Side of Headset is off and on

So I have a Logitech behind the head headset (seen here: http://www.priceguidenetwork.com/image.php?type=T&id=29434 )
And today, it started not working on the right side. I made sure it was plugged in right, (its cable not usb) and it was. Then it randomly started working again. Then cut out. I determined that when I move in or out (away from my laptop) it works or doesn't.
It is only happening on the right side.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

The binding inside the headset that links the copper wiring between the two headphones has probably worn down over time and the wires are probably touching and causing interference. Either that or oxygen has leaked into the wire and is causing discrepancies. Might be time to get a new pair of headphones. You would have to due some intense surgery to repair it without tearing your headphones apart

i agree with Thatguy, i accidently had jerked the headphone wire pretty hard and it was doing the exact same thing you said yours was doing, it would be best to just get a whole new headset

Yep. It's a damaged wire in the headset. Sometimes you can make it work a little longer by creatively wiggling it and applying tension at certain angles, but your only real solution is to buy a new one.

hey redflag, speakin of gettin a new headset, i have a bf2 limited edition logitech headset that i have no need 4, that is if ur interested. cant remember what part of the forums its in (maybe trade part) but do a search for logitech headset. as long as you take care of the s&h of gettin the headset 2 ya, ill be happy 2 send it your way.
