Never too many snipers

So yes, there aren't always too many snipers.

Still, it'd help if they went Medic or Engie sometimes. Especially the bad ones that won't improve. ;P

You don't get better by killing people with less skill than yourself. I know there's a couple snipers that make me shudder when I see them on the other team, because dollars to donuts (who came up with THAT one?) says I'll be getting headshot shortly. Now, that makes me play differently than normal and it's harder for me...which in turn should ultimately make me a better player.

I'm not bad of a sniper, but I just think it's a boring class to play. I like contact, and snipers can only get so much contact. They can get plenty, at times, but it's just not enough for me to play it for a lengthy period of time.

I only get frustrated with snipers when we have 4 or 5 snipes on our team, 2 or 3 on the bad guys, and we are getting MOWED down by the other team's 2 or 3 snipers while our 4 or 5 hang back and pick off straggling soldiers stuck on the front line. I can snipe OK and always am tempted to jump on a rifle and take some bad-guy sniper heads off, but when we already have 4 or 5 I just can't justify it.

This leads to me griping to our snipers about "what is the point of us having any snipers at all if their snipers are picking us off at will?" and then going on mad scout dashes trying to vent some anger by bashing in enemy sniper head.

Hmmph.

Can you have too many Snipers? Hard to say, because a team of twenty Heavies is surely too many, but badass.
When it comes down to it Snipers aren't Heavies though, and when it causes your team to have no chance then you do have too many, it depends on their skill.

I can't figure out the sniping system. For one, I'll aim straight at a guy's head who is even running straight at me, and miss. Then I'll try another shot on the same guy, aim 6 inches to the right of him, and get a headshot. There's a reason sniper is my second-least played class.

Snipers are good on the larger maps where they can have a good view of who is coming at them. Dustbowl level 1 second cap, Warpath, Convoy. Not much good on 2fort if everyone takes water. Since they have nerfed some classes, they need to make it so a fully charged shot will kill another sniper no matter where you hit them (unless being healed by a medic) just like in TFC. I do, at times play sniper. While I respect good snipers, I'd love to see some of them take on the other classes up close and personal combat. I have my own personal views about snipers as well as spies which I will not share at this time.

I'm a mediocre sniper, but I like the class and try to get better at it.

In the end, we're free to play whatever class we like. A good team player will usually try to play what her team needs. We'll all be building new skills with each class since we'll be playing them more as updates come out.

Go easy on people who are learning. Remember to always be polite when suggesting the numbers of each class might need to be altered. If worse comes to worst, you can always find another server to pay on until the situation changes.
