The x360 kit Uma had on her last build didn't have the appropriate AM4 bracket, so we are waiting for them to send us a mounting kit. In the mean time its air cooled with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Pro. As soon as the bracket kit gets installed, the rest of the loop will be completed and Mayhem's Oil Black liquid will be put in the loop with some Mayhem's Aurora drops. Additional NZXT Hue+ extension strips will be installed to increase the complexity of the lighting. I'll add more images once the water block is installed and the black liquid is added to the loop. I'll also overclock the 1800x to see what kind of speeds I can get. Benchmarks will follow.

me to but the effort might be futile once Intel releases their next gen chips. Maybe AMD should just focus efforts on taking on Nvidia.

It all depends if Intel can provide competitive pricing for the performance.

Bingo, my biggest thing here. I do a ton of video rendering and would love to jump up to 6 cores or more, but Intel's processors are slightly out of range for me to do that. We will see how tests prove in the rendering market.

For video rendering Ryzen is probably the way to go.
For straight up gaming performance is say Intel, however you run into pricing/performance issues

Yep, biggest issue. For me to get the power I want, it would cost me almost $1000, last I checked. The AMD equivalent on Ryzen was 400 less, I think.
