For those of us who were interested in Ashes of Creation (or who, like me, had no idea it existed until today), I've compiled some information on this nifty-looking sandbox MMO and other goodies including a referral link for a shot at alpha keys! The tl;dr: version including highlights:
*Tab-Targeting action combat reliant on positioning, mobility and reflexes. No auto attacks or spamming left-click, but it doesn't involve 5 hotbar trays taking up the screen full with obselete/almost-useless abilities either
*Open-World Sandbox. It is heavily reliant on player exploration, player crafting, player-built towns/cities/empires ala SW: Galaxies. Quests are dynamic and storylines expand base on player actions like EverQuest:Next was supposed to have
*Black Desert-levels of character creation depth but without race, gender, or class-locks (HELLS yeah)
*Classes can use a multitude of weapons and multiclass as different (or the same) class(es) like rogue/bard, mage/tank or cleric/cleric (Double healing all the way across the sky!) using its class, skills & abilities system to create a class that is hopefully truly your own
*Requires a monthly subscription, but "DLC" (Expansion Packs) cost the same or less as a month of subscription time
*No P2W bee-ess. Cash shop purchases are 100% optional cosmetics
