The election is over, but the issues remain . . .

Obvious politicking is not allowed, but I'm curious how heavy handed people are with casual statements. For example:

- We have a regular player with clan tag (TRUMP). He never says anything.

- What about an ambiguous clan tab? (NVRTRMP)?

- Or something less ambiguous, but seemingly apolitical except to some listeners? (BLM!)

Thoughts?

This is just my take, and how I've handled it thus far. At the slightest mention of politics in chat, I shut it down immediately. As per clan tags, I generally ignore those. While BLM does make us automatically make us think of the movement, BLM could be anything, just like how eGO could be anything and someone else is running these tags for a whole different meaning.

While some users who see a [TRUMP] tag may get upset/trolly and try to start something, it is entirely on that second user. The one with the TRUMP tag could, as in your instance, never say a word and be a stand up player.

As with a previous thread on emblems. As long as it does not cause offence or of blatant racism, the tags, however obviously political they may be, are fine. If the player starts causing issues and raising political talks/chants, simply follow the procedure of Warn/Kick/Ban. If you are unsure of what actions to take you can always hop into TeamSpeak and talk to an admin for help and advice on the matter.
