How to stop in-game advertisements

I understand we get money from sponsors and thus advertisements are there but is there a way we can opt out? I'll probably never buy via that route of marketing because I'm not shopping. The main issue is sometimes when I start a new map round the ads play and a few seconds later they play again and then again and I can't play the game with sound. I have had others ask me why it's happening and I tell them to restart and hopefully it'll go away. Is there something I can type in console to disable these ads? It's very disruptive to game play.

We should not have audio ads on our forums or servers. These ads will be removed from our provider, however we need to receive a link for where the ad leads to have it shut down. Right click -> Copy Link Address. Post the link in the Drop Box and we will have it removed immediately.

If you want to mute ads in general on CS:
If you hear an ad, tab out, open your volume mixer (for windows) and set Steam Client Webhelper's volume to 0. This will mute any ads on any csgo servers forever (until you set the volume to anything above 0 on steam client webhelper). The only downside to this is it will mute your steam browser in shift-tab, but if you dont care about that this is the way to go!
