Rarely to be honest, any game has to REALLY interest me for me to actually spend the time download and enjoying it
 
Being an old broke sob I will take a free game any time I can, unless of course it looks to be for a small child

All the options are pretty subjective.... But if I had to rate myself I'd say "Often" where "Often" is defined as whenever I hear about a free game that's good I'll get it and try it out (~2-3 times a month)
 
I'll take a free game if recommended by a friend or if it normally costs money.
 
I like seeing what they have to offer and see if there are interesting mechanics or styles. Especially so with games of the same type. For example, LoL vs Dota2 vs MxM vs Smite vs Paragon. Or Paladins vs TF2 vs Overwatch. It's just fun to see art, music, and mechanics make all the difference. I'm even worse when it comes to mobile games. Every month or two I've got a phone filled with completely different ones. Been essentially documenting reviews for myself. In general, I see myself as a game designer/programmer so I enjoy seeing these and breaking their mechanics and codes down to even the pixelest pixel on a map. Sadly I'm not good enough to actually implement this into my gaming since I'm so bad :P

My PC has more free MMO installers lingering around than I know what to do with.
 
Rarely as no game is ever truly free. Sure, it may not cost money, but it still costs time. It's a bit unfortunate, but most of the non-monetized games I come across either aren't worth the time, or I don't have the time for because of other things.

This here sums up my opinion. I already have too many games on Steam, Origin and UPlay that I haven't even touched yet.

That, and I have plenty of unused keys attached to my Humble Bundle account.
 
Depends on what type of "free" game. If we are talking under the free games tab on steam, very rarely. If we are talking free games from humble bundle or any other site that gives free game codes, I try to get my hands on as many of those as possible.
