Payday 2 Ultimate Edition

While this is really nice for new comers or those that didn't purchase DLC, I am pretty angry about this. While they did not force us to spend our money, we still are losing out on anywhere from $100 to $145 depending on if we bought all DLC at full price or not. In total all of the DLC and the game came to around $190-$200. Subtract the cost of the new deal and that comes to about $145. Like I said, it's a nice deal for those that want the game as it is a great game, just angry about the money loss as they kept coming out with DLC almost every other week.

The only problem with your argument is that is true for all games. Games typically launch around the $60 mark. With some editions being higher. After a certain amount of time the cost of the games go down the longer they have been out or they go on sale. It is all a matter of value at the time.

Yeah I can agree with that, my issue though is that the game released in August of 2013. When you look at games that often do something like this the time table is a lot shorter. While it is my fault for spending the money when I could have waited, it is still very frustrating.

It'll be interesting to see how the GOTY edition factors into this as it has a boatload of DLC in it already as is. Will it go away and get upgraded/be upgradable to the Ultimate Edition or...?

The premium price we paid for access to the DLC over receiving them all now is the amount of time we've been able to enjoy. It feels more and more like Witcher 3 is the ONLY game that comes up with legitimate DLC that adds significant gameplay and story to the main game. Don't even get me started with what EA and Activision do with games these days...
