Destiny 2 - The details

For those of you that did not tune in to the live reveal of Destiny 2 or simple have an interest in the Destiny franchise, I'm going to cover the new features and elements revealed in the upcoming sequel.

CLANS

Clans are going to be implemented directly into the new game and will no longer focus on 3rd party apps or sites to help you locate and build a fire team.

Clans also allow you to experience new elements of the game and easily gather a group of friends together to play.

GUIDED GAMES

Guided Games is a brand new experience introduced into Destiny 2, where clans can open their arms to allow solo players to join them and learn new things about the game.

Destiny 1 saw many issues where their player base had not experienced all that the game had to offer, so with the introduction of Guided Games, players can now look for open spots in a clan's lobby and request to play with them and learn more about the game.

NEW MAPS AND PLANETS

Several new planets are being introduced into the game and now with the ability to land at different drop zones and jump from planet-to-planet without the need to go to orbit. Something that was originally a frustrating concept in Destiny 1.

The new areas and planets also include new modes:

Adventure, Lost Sectors and Treasure Maps.

Adventure act as side quests.

Lost Sectors are areas that must be found and include loot boxes, where a key must be obtained from defeating a boss.

Treasure maps guide you to finding epic loot and items hidden around each world.

WHERE CAN I BUY DESTINY 2 ON PC?

In an incredible development announced at the end of the reveal, Destiny 2 is going to be exclusively available on Blizzard Entertainment's, BATTLENET client.

This is a new and exclusive partnership between BLIZZARD and Activision and there are hopes that the integration to BATTLENET will further enhance the social elements of Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 releases on September 8th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. An open Beta is also coming to all platforms this summer.

Im actually incredibly surprised they decided to release it on Blizzard's Battlenet. thats actually really cool.

Everything about the reveals i was in awe of. I just hope my computer can run it.

Thank you so much for this post!! I totally forgot it was today and was really looking forward to hearing about how it would be available on PC. I'm glad they went with a platform I trust, probably wouldn't have gotten it on Uplay or Origin. Looking forward to more development and whether or not it will be like the original at launch, as I skipped the first half year and waited until my brother got it on PS4 as it was too boring solo with the amount of grind from loot cave that had to be done.

I am really looking forward to it being well made and successful, as I keep going back to "I'm not going to buy another expansion for Destiny or Destiny 2 with how repetitive it got in it's content.

Edit - Just read the last part about the open beta during the summer. Looking forward to it, as I got to play the original Alpha but not the beta. Hopefully it will include more of the launch game features to give a pretty good idea of what it will be like.
