But I'm curious to see which way people are leaning when it comes to the infamous Medic Achievements.

(I personally went, OMG I'm a haxor)

I am not even going to pair up with people to get them the old cheat way. My sone has gotten a bunch of the initial ones by creating games and having no challengers. I think I got 2 this way when I was just trying to learn the basics. I have since earned all except the friend one playing against others. Now to just get all my friends online at the same time.

Group of people trying to do it without the hassle is still legit, in my opinion. You could easily take the much easier road.

I wanna earn those achievements the real and normal way. I don't see the point in cheating in games. Where's the pleasure in cheating when you can have the sensation of relief a real and well deserved achievement. Sure, there are some easier ways: As goldrush went public, I joined games with only one person (a medic) and proceeded to bonesaw him. We do some melee only in the servers when we're 2 or 3, so that is a legit technique. When I'm gonna get the ubercharging bonesaw, I'll know I worked hard to get it and I DESERVE it.

I got them by mistake, but I'm keeping them. I reset my achievements, but after playing last night, I'm not gonna sit around and farm for these three weapons. All the naysayers were right, it's messing up the game.

I'm a great medic, but I'm not gonna touch the class until all the noobs go home. Then I'll show you how to use the kritzkrieg.

I'm going to go ahead and do it the h4x0r way. If I bought/played this game for the achievement aspect then I'd want to earn them.

I like medic but I prefer sniper. I hate engineer but I have way more hours playing engineer than medic because a team can usually get by without a medic but fail without engineer. I assume sometimes the medic will be more useful with one weapon than another, I don't want to be stuck playing medic trying to get achievements to unlock stuff to then finally at somepoint way ahead be able to effectively assist the team with that.

I'm all for getting achievements the arduous way, but gimmie the weapons now and I'll get the achievements in due time.

Pretty sure there will be a fix by the end of the day in which all the achievements will be reset to what you've actually earned, seeing as the game does indeed track those stats. It won't be difficult for Valve to reset it.

I won't lie, I had some fun earlier, with some friends.... Helping each other get achievements. I don't know, initially i intended to help out some friends, but I was having so much fun helping... I got a bunch myself, i don't see a problem with it. I got the new syringe gun, it's lots of fun!

I hate the medic. I cheated the ubersaw. I had some fun and thought "wow - being a medic is fun now". I lost the weapons. I hate the medic. I can't wait for geting the pyro's updates. Then I will be inferior if I play another class. Then I will hate Valve. They will have ruined the game.
