There are a few people who are very upset about it. One of them claimed he will quit the game forever (quite silly). But most people in the server did not seem to mind so much. Hopefully, people will realize, over time, that they like this more, since it gives them a chance to move up and join the higher ranks.
gotta say it was sudden I guess u guys have talked it over for some time but to many of us it was unexpected when something is accumulated for long ppl expects it to last. of course I see some good sides of this reset for example now players don't have to camp too much in the fear of losing their high scores(well they don't have to but still might act the same that now it's their habit{and mine too perhaps}) but if that was the case I would have liked it better if u guys just abolished the whole skill point system and just leave kpd, ribbons and stuff well anyway let's hope this reset brings the good in players(like team spirit, bravery and initiative etc etc)
p.s. I wanna ask some questions
a. will reset be executed on regular basis from now on?
b. was there another resets in dods ego servers before?

There was a reset before. Like 6 years ago.
Hopefully, the new reset will auto-reset every month, or two. I already saw some people today in the server quite happy that they were near the top after 1 day. Maybe this will make their gaming experience more enjoyable.
Well can't say that I'm quite happy about this turn of events as there was no actually warning to people that it was being done (aka why did I waste my time in all the previous weeks before this playing), otherwise I would just not of bothered logging in. Now I'm just like ok whatever no point in logging in to keep trying to get anywhere. I for one prefer a challenge in life with people who play the game not camping me so they can get back up the points ladder.
I for one see MORE camping and more camping and more camping from this decision.
I could accept we had some campers an I didn't mind them so much as they were fewer than not.
However time will tell as the saying goes.

Please be patient guys, there will be an explanation coming in the next couple days explaining why we reset the points, this is not a new thing we are doing, it has been done before in the past on several occasions.
there are many games in which Admins reset rank weakly or monthly to make the players play regularly and hard
but if that was one of the reason of this reset I'm a little worried because in those games they provide incentives to those who get high ranks without those people usually just don't feel the urge to play hard after certain cycle
well maybe that wasn't the reason at all but I really hope u guys had thought about keeping old players still active too
because usually they were the ones who maintained the match

My two cents: I assume the top player (as with all eGO drawings) that is a member of the eGO steam group will be the winner of the shirt.....

After the server reset, i did notice something interesting.
I started getting tons of grenade kills. just about every one I'd chuck would land me
at least 2 or 3 kills each. lol
hard to say whether it was just coincidence, or whether I just adapted to what was going on.
my alternate theory though, is that some of the players were using each others as shields so
they would cluster up more in groups.
for a short time i was in 42nd position. lol
i rarely if ever even look at rank though, doesn't do much for me one way or another.
