Video Ads In MOTD

This is what was playing today, with sound. The Video on left was Humira video and started playing through my speakers when I joined, the video on the right was some home improvement video with no sound.

Last week the MOTD video advertisements were really bad. It would start playing audio during the match and cause severe lag. I would have to type MOTD. Once on the MOTD screen you would see the video advertisement playing.

It hasn't been bad the last few nights. Last night I think it happened twice. I tried using a console command fix a player offered but it didn't work or I'm not tech savvy enough to make it work.

Just my valuable two cents on this topic. I understand these Ads probably bring needed revenue but they are hurting game play.

Its cl_disablehtmlmotd though. Maybe disablemotd is a valid command as well but I'm not at home to check

oh a wise guy eh.

there are a few ways to get around the ads, but seeing as they bring
revenue, i don't really feel comfortable suggesting them publicly. lol

after participating in that "draw artimus" contest, its hard for me not
to see artimus as a cartoon character. lol

Ok, so I am all for having ad's as it generates income, but 3 20 second video ad's in a row about "Maybe it's Mabeline" followed by another ad with some music that literally played for a minute. This was on Donner about 3:45 EST. There was a group of about 12 people playing and most were hearing it as well.
