Sometimes. Depends on the game and mod itself.
 
The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim = all the umm... "immersive?" mods
 
Mods sometimes ruin the game so I don't really like mods over all.
 
Mods are the primary reason why I am a pc gamer instead of console!
 
I play L4D2 and Civ V with mods. That's about it. Everything else, I don't much care for. I agree that mods can add a certain element to the game and make it more enjoyable, but I've been playing on consoles for about 18 years now. I've learned to enjoy games for what they are instead of trying to add things to make the games different. They can be fun, but I'll always be able to take the base game and be happy.
