Anime What are you currently watching?

Ive been watching Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd. Funny Isekai with a power fantasy deuteragonist. I will say the cooking in this show has actually let me to try new seasoning and cooking styles when I make meat. But besides the intriuging cooking aspect as a window to learning food of another culture the isekai tropes are cool and yet at the same time not cringe/annoying. Its on episode 11 on crunchyroll and the next episode comes out this tuesday i believe. Worth a pickup as a fun steadly paced isekai.

Been watching Tower of God with my GF. Just finished S1 - and she seems hooked lmao.
Cant wait till Season 2 airs

There's actually several things coming up this season that I'm interested in and will likely be watching.

  • The Ancient Magus Bride 2 (took long enough!!!)
  • Insomniacs After School (I LOVE This manga, super cute, super fun)
  • The latest Konosuba (I believe it's a spin off from the "main" story)

Still several movies on the block too. I just finished reading the Witch on the Holy Night visual novel. Can't wait for the expected Ufotable adaptation later this year as a movie.

currently watchin i'm a spider, so what...

but jeez you need to use brains to understand the timelines after 10 episodes i finally understood it

Watched about half of Carnival Phantasm last night - the parody of several Type-Moon works. I recently finally finished playing Witch on the Holy Night, their VN, and am moving onto Tsukihime now.

Hibike! Euphonium fans, rejoice. We're getting more!!!

(They had announced there was stuff coming a few months ago but this is the first details / preview we've gotten!!!)

The long-awaited new work will be screened in theaters as a medium-length animation in the summer of 2023!

Along with the summer brass band competition, the ensemble contest, commonly known as "Ancon," is a place where exciting performances are held. The performance of several people in one group has a charm different from that of a competition.

In order to participate in the Kyoto prefectural tournament of Ancon, a representative team is selected in the school's preliminary round. However, with over 50 members, the Kitauji High School brass band is facing a variety of problems! Will Kumiko, the newly appointed head of the club, be able to make it through the preliminary rounds?

The days of struggle begin.

I'm currently watching I got a cheat skill in another world and became unrivaled in the real world, too. I recently just started getting back into anime and just started this and its pretty good for an isekai...

Right now I'm reviewing Adesanya's last fight against Pereira, which was this weekend. It was a great knockout. I wish I had been able to watch that fight live. For some reason, I was sure that Adesanya would regain the title. I even bet on him to win https://mostbetyukle.com/mostbet-aviator.html. I really liked the way he fired arrows at Pereira after he knocked him out. It was very effective. I love watching those kinds of flashy fights.

Finished watching GRIMGAR, it was very formulaic and quest driven but I really liked it.

Went and saw Suzume in theatres today!

I liked it overall. Really, really picks up in the 2nd half I think in terms of overall plot development. Visually fantastic, as expected - great to see multiple settings throughout the film as it takes places in many different parts of Japan.

Felt like we got enough development out of the characters overall to enjoy them each, which sometimes feels tight in movies.

It does have a few of the usual Shinaki plot formulas but it doesn't feel like it's repeating Your Name too much, Weathering Into You kinda felt a little too similar for me.

First time seeing an anime in theatres. We saw it dubbed, which was still fairly good. One minor thing - some subtitles on text were a touch cut off but i believe that was because of the theatres resolution / crop.

I've recently started watching Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre. It's a lot like black mirror or love death robots but anime style, I do recommend!

I've been watching Drifting Dragons. It's on Netflix and I highly recommend it if you like any steam punk type anime or studio ghibli films.

Tried to, for the last time, watch Made in Abyss without dropping it. I understand why people like the show but I just can't get into it. There's just something incredibly uncomfortable/unsettling about it.

Don't get me wrong, I've watched plenty of other shows that might be considered unsettling to some, but this one is just different. In any case, I gave it a 3rd go and it's going to be my last try. Dropped.

I’ve been dabbling back into Initial D - finished some Extra Stage recently.
