Hi guys, been around a long time, thought I'd ask you lot if you could help diagnose my woeful PC issues.

I am getting 40fps @ Ultra with an i7 4790 2xgtx980TI in SLI with 32GB RAM. I don't know what I did but I used to get like 60-70 and I don't know what I changed. It's miserable. Performance on the PC in general is low. Anyone have thoughts?

First off, long time no see! I'm semi hyped that the signature I made you probably 7 years ago is still there :)

Second, this is a pretty hefty set up. Are all your drivers up to date? Have you started running some sort of software in the background?

I don't have much experience with SLI... wondering if you disabled one card how much it changes. I think I've heard before that some games don't like SLI much? Just tossing some ideas out there.

Check SLI settings in NVidia control panel, check your SLI bridge as well. Check your computer usage stats in task manager too - check disk, memory, and CPU usage while you're in game and see if anything is spiking unusually. Also check your PC temperatures. Some motherboards have software that allow you to do this - there might be something throttling something.

hey man! always good to see a familiar face. I ended up cleanly uninstalling drivers and re-installing, instant 30fps increase. hovering around 70-80 on ultra now but I want more so let me know what you think. Still love this sig btw.

Definitely take some of flamelauncher's ideas in! See if anything is drawing a lot of resources. Little clean up never hurts :)

I had problems recently and it was a faulty RAM. Replaced it and that was that. Just putting some ideas.

First, i would check all your drivers to make sure they are up to date. This sounds like a driver issue. ALSO, Battlefield 1 and SLI dont get along AT ALL. My two 1080ti's in SLI start to fall on their face. Its an optimization issue in BF1 itself

What's your resolution? 70-80 on ultra sounds about right to me.

I agree with Johnny, I run ultra on BF4 on a GTX 1080 on 1440p (120Hz) and I'm getting roughly the same FPS, maybe slightly higher.
