Tried out CS:GO on my (new-ish) computer by playing some offline comp mode to see how my computer took it. It kept freezing as soon as the round ended (regardless to how it ended. i.e. win or lose, timer run out or enemy all dead), then coming back 2-3 sec later like nothing had happened. Has anyone seen this issue before that can tell me how to fix it?

Never seen this sorry. I suggest maybe verifying the cache or something. Just a generic answer that sometimes works

Appreciate it, but I've already tried that. Another Issue I've been having that may or may not be related is that the game tries to reinstall directX every time I start the game up. Could that have anything to do with it?

I have a laptop that does this also but not at round end. It freezes for a good 5 seconds once I join a warmup in a comp and die for the first time. Sometimes it happens when I die, first death or not. It's really strange that it freezes when I die, maybe they just shot me so hard that it made my laptop freeze. Unfortunately I have no idea how to fix it.

There seems to be some sort of malfunction in the mechanical mechanism.

Try turning on net_graph 1 via console and see if you get a ping spike or a packet loss during the situations.
