UBUNTU and tf2

ok i have ubuntu (grub boot loader wont bring up windows) and i cant use my mic and the wording of player names are littler than what it is on windows.
is there any way i can get mah windows partion back or fix my mic probelms and the word font issue?

Does the mic not work at all or does it just not work in TF2? Is it just player names that are small or is it all onscreen text? Have you tried different resolutions? I'm not sure what method you used to get the game installed, but I've read that you need to get the Tahoma font so maybe that is your issue. (http://www.fsckin.com/2007/10/15/ho...2-half-life-2-hl2-ep-12-in-ubuntu-using-wine/) As far as getting your Windows partition back, that depends on how you installed everything. Did you have a dual-boot setup? Did you format and wipe out Windows when you installed Linux? I hope some of this helps to solve your problems.

More importantly, why can't you bring up Windows with Grub? You should be able to. Just make sure the NTFS partition is in your /etc/fstab and that you have the proper lines in your grub.conf, and you should be good to go.
