Hey it's me, a noob :-D

The following questions may be answered elsewhere on these forums or this website but I have not found those answers. If they are to be found, please point me in the right direction.

1.) My app has been accepted...should I start wearing the =(e)= now?
2.) Is there a Steam Group I should join?
3.) What is a jail server?
4.) What is is Trouble in Terrorist Town server?
5.) Does anyone here play traditional CS:GO servers?
6.) Do I have any obligations as a new member?
7.) I followed the directions in the TeamSpeak thread but I'm still clueless as to how to use it. Can anyone help/make suggestions?
8.) How the hell y'all doin?

Thanks a lot!

1. Yes, it should automatically assign it while playing on our servers. So you should have it already. Log in and try! (If if goes away after a week or so, just sign back into the forums)
2.Yes - http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197975626631/groups/
3. Jailbreak is a gameplay that models a prison, there are guards that give tasks to the inmates and there are prisoners who try and rebel and take over the prison and kill the guards.
4. TTT is a gamemode where there is a town full of innocent people. Then a few traitors are selected and they are tasked to kill all the innocent people without being killed themselves. They try to be sneaky so that the innocent people don't find out who they are and kill them.
5. A few of us do. I don't really. I stick to our servers mainly. Sometimes you can find a comp or a popflash.
6. Not really. You can recruit new members, join events, generally just have fun and find out more about our community. You can find new friends fast with our teamspeak server.
7. I would try and ask a few people in steam to get you started at least, once you have access, it can all be explained easily from inside teamspeak. It's basically voice chat rooms.
8. I'm great man! Welcome!

Both TTT and Jail have rulebooks and quick guides you can read from to learn a lot more. Just search for them in CS Divisional Discussion.

Hey "noob"! (3XP1R3) I hope i can answer these as accurate as possible.
1) If you have your MAUL account linked with your steam account it should give you the =(e)= in-game automatically.
2)Yes. http://steamcommunity.com/groups/edgegamers
3) Hope this can answer your question ot join the server and experience it yourself! https://www.edge-gamers.com/forums/showthread.php?297632-OFFICIAL-JAIL-Server-Rules ; 74.91.113.122:27016
4)Hope this helps as well and again, come see for yourself! https://www.edge-gamers.com/forums/showthread.php?285768-OFFICIAL-TTT-Server-Rules 74.91.113.112:27016
5) I'm not sure what you mean by "traditional" if competitive then yes. Not our own servers on CS:GO tho.
6) Have fun! ; Follow our code of conduct https://www.edge-gamers.com/rules/
7) Message me and I could help you step by step on where ever you're stuck on.
8) Me personally i'm in a comp match, but will go on the jail server after.

Oh and to answer #8 I am doing great today, what about you?

Hey guys, thanks for the info! I'm doing great thanks for asking.

Your answers were thorough so again, thanks! Those gamemodes sound interesting to say the least. I must admit I'm a big fan of traditional competitive CS. I'm just coming back to it after being away from PC gaming for a number of years. Should I wear my tag when not in our servers? That is to say, change my name on Steam? If not, no big deal. Just curious.

I understand TeamSpeak principally, it's just way back when I was PC gaming TeamSpeak wasn't even a thing. And during my console gaming time the console had their own voice systems but I did use Discord on occasion. I'm more or less interested in any settings you all recommend and things like that.

I didn't read the wall of text that everyone posted cause..... you know.... my god thats alot lol. But I trust Boe. Never let me down before so I would go with what he says.

As far as your tag in comp. That's up to you. I normally don't but i do occasionally.

TS is awesome in my opinion. Like you i had stepped away from pc gaming for a number of years and have come back and not known what had changed lol. How ever once you really get into it ts is easy. Feel free to add me on steam and later today when i am home of you haven't gotten it figured by then i will help as much as possible!

Just wanted to say welcome 3xp1re!! Enjoy your stay :D
