I've been asked this question a lot over the past month.

"How do I become consistent from a day to day basis with aim and movement?"

Hopefully these steps I use will help you!

First Step. DM, I love to DM as it relaxes me, everyone's different, but try to work on your aim everyday until its at a comfortable point for yourself, as it takes me around 500 kills when I get on, and 500 when I get off for muscle memory.
Second Step. Play on maps you know every call out and can play almost every position, as these maps for me are Mirage, Cache, Cobble, and Nuke.
Third Step. Play the most comfortable position for you, and focus on playing that only spot, calling out at the beginning of the game if you can play that spot. (Go into smoke maps or esea scrim servers and learn different locations and pop flashes so you can have the advantage.)
Fourth Step. Play your OWN playstyle, dont try to copy another persons playstyle just because they're better then you, learn to play according to how comfortable it is for you. I like to play an agro entry on T side, and a passive CT with once in a while agro pushes to surprise T's.
Fifth Step. Try not to change your settings, such as sensitivity and res, or try to change as little as possible. I used to have the problem of changing resolution and sensitivity every time I died because I didn't kill that person, as changing settings destroys muscle memory. Try to find a resolution on both 4:3 and 16:9, as this will create better muscle memory and show much better performance. (I like to use 1920, but my 4:3 res in 1280 x 960 BLACKBARS, with 2.5 sens 400 dpi.)
Sixth Step. Dont tilt, what I mean by this is try not to get mad, if you die in a round, callout where you died from, and try to figure out what you did wrong, also from my experience getting mad only leads to worse gameplay. I usually listen to music, it usually keeps me in a good mood, my name on spotify is austin_womble if you want to listen to my playlists!
Seventh Step. Movement, really the only thing I practice for movement is KZ for around an hour a day.
IP for "House Of Climb KZ" - 167.114.222.82:27015
I also play bhop for around 10 - 20 minutes. BHOP IP - 74.91.123.161

Hopefully this answers the question of how to be more consistent, IN MY OPINION, as there are far better players with far better ways to get consistent, such as adren and Josh "steel" Nissan.

A lot of new players are rising the ranks of eGO, so I figured if any of them check the forums they'll find this old tutorial. Hopefully this guide will continue to help people.

One more topic : Playing smart, you can't expect to run into a site and out aim EVERYONE unless you're aim is just superb and can out aim everyone. At the top levels of CS, not everyone has excellent aim, but they're in the pro scene because of their awareness of the game itself. An example of this is gob b, hes definitely not even up their for top aim, but he keeps consistent by knowing enemies movements, knowing timing, and just plain outsmarting the enemy. Watching demos from top teams such as Astrailis, Faze, Sk, G2, etc will help with learning the game and knowing when to make your mark, but everyone has THEIR OWN playstyle, so dont try to mimic someone elses playstyle when you're not comfortable with it.

Other guide I made: https://www.edge-gamers.com/forums/s...ighlight=texan

Hope it helps.

Texan isn't an all powerful being. He is good but killable. Many of the NO's from tonights event suffered from this. Getting upset and then talking over everyone about how texan is a god does not help yourself or the team. Just quite down and give some call outs or pay attention to the things Texan does like aggressively push.

Thank you for this post T Texan

As much as I love this guide please remember that different skill groups play differently don't expect everyone that you play with to have the same knowledge that you do, even your teammates. Play knowing that a silver doesn't have the skill set or mind set of a Rank S player. Lots of times I find myself in shock because of players that take forever to rotate or an enemy comes from a position that you don't expect. Don't get frustrated is the key to everything, there are 30 rounds.

Also playing a lot (like 4-8 hours a day) helps tremendously too, just like everything else. Practice, practice, prictice and don't be afraid of failing occasionally.

That feeling when you have a 40+ hour a week career. Rip the skillz, remember kids you just trade one for another as you adult in life D:!

Ah the good ol' days of playing CSS for 8+ hours a day :(
