Bad Company 2 Alternate Keyboard Layouts

Does anyone use different keys for movement and other options?

Ever since Descent II (one of my all-time favourite games) I've used pretty-much the same keyboard layout. The standard one cramps me up something fierce.
A=run
S=slide left
D=forward
F=slide right

For BFBC2 I use
T=spot
G=grenade
Z=crouch
V=kit (ammo box, motion mine, etc)
middle mouse button=knife

As I'm writing this, it's kind of weird but I actually have to imagine myself playing the game to remember what the key assignments are. lol!

I'm also cursed with being unable to use an X-Box of Playstation gamepad thing. I can race cars just fine, but I just can't get other kinds of movements, like soldierly ones, into my head. Kinda sucks, really.

I just use what the game provides now even with league

I've tried the standard and it's like trying to do a reverse Boy Scout's salute with sticky fingers. I just can't do it. lol.

My spot key is pretty clear...which is strange since it's a compulsion. Sometimes I think I should seek help, y'know? I wonder if it's covered under my benefits plan.

I still haven't figured out why some folks just don't spot. Even the most selfish should realise that they can see new enemies before anyone else does that way...I think it's like people who don't signal a pass on the highway - because they're afraid the guy coming up on them will speed up to prevent their opportunity, or something.

Trip from CT thru NY, NJ, PA, OH, MI, WI, MN, ND, MT, WY, CO to NM where we are now for a few days. Then back home. 4500 miles so far.

Nice! Did you do the Winnebago thing? I haven't done any international traveling, and only a little into the States...and then mostly because I lived in a town bordering NY, so... WA, MT, and ME...that's it.

It's cool that you can see so many different "societies"(?) in a x-country trip. When I go back home to SE Ontario from Alberta, there's only two provinces in between. Mind you, Ontario's so friggin' huge almost half the drive is just crossing that province alone.
