a few days after the patch I had picked up nearly all the medic achievements, and then they were all wiped clean. Needless to say I was upset but today I get an email from Robin Walker ([email protected]) reading

Hi.
Yesterday, we reset your Medic achievements because we mistakenly believed you had hacked around the system to get them. Today we discovered a bug in our code that resulted in you being incorrectly flagged as cheating. As a result, I'm emailing you to apologize for our error, and to let you know that we've decided to award you the full set of Medic achievements.

Robin Walker.

Isn't that nice of them?
 
Wow, that's good. Was this initiated by you making a complaint, or did they track it down themselves?
 
I think there's been a thread like this already....but Valve was very nice in your case.
 
thank you so much for this, this made me check my e-mail and i got the same thing! I was so pissed that I was seriously think of not playing valve stuff anymore. It took me like 5-6 hours of achievement farming to get them and they were all gone! I'm glad they fixed it

You harboured negative thoughts about Valve? :O They're easily the best game developers on the planet. I guess when you're a relatively small group of people, (~150 employees), communication is made all the more easier and simpler between the company and the fans. :D
 
Hate valve more now it took me a while to get around half of them then they reseted it and I didn' get a mail
