GTA Meeting Minutes
A big thank you to everyone who turned out. We had over 50 people in the channel and the meeting lasted two hours! Your suggestions and questions are very appreciated and we look forward to what is to come for GTA!

- GTA has grown extensively since we began back in early June. Since then we have led recruitment for the months of June and August. We recruited 35 different applicants in September and are currently the second highest recruiting game in EGO for not only the past 3 months but also since January. Keep up the great work!
- Moving forward, we are trying to make this server as realistic as possible. The following are points to help us progress to being more realistic:
- Check out this RP Guide by Ericka and George: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1pJx4xJmx8YuyTFHNVDh5KcTlYvg6tVfQ-epIJmRH9BI/edit?usp=sharing- Realistically, people like to speed, however, players should not be speeding through the city at 100+ mph or continuously driving recklessly. Doing so will be considered unrealistic, therefore will be FailRP. You may speed down highways since they are much more open. If you break a traffic law and a cop tries to stop you, pull over and let the cop talk to you. If you don't like how it's going then you may run but you shouldn't automatically run from the cops. Doing illegal stuff in front of cops in order to make them chase you is cop baiting and is against the rules.- If you get in an accident, you should roleplay that you have damaged your car or that you totaled it. Realistically speaking, you can not hit a large pole or fence at a high rate of speed and still drive just fine. If you get in a major accident, you are injured and therefore you should not hop out and start shooting at cops. Also, NEVER drive off mountains, ramps or other jumps as it is not realistic and you would probably not survive it. Calling these accidents in help provide better RP for cops and medics.- You should rarely go out of character during an active roleplay scenario. If you have a question, try to type it in OOC chat but if it is a must, then you may go out of character (make sure to specify that you are out of character). An example would be helping a person figure out a keybinding. Reference the RP guide above for more advice.- Just because someone is FailRPing, doesn't mean you should follow up and do it too.- You should never pull a car from your pocket during an active roleplay situation using /PV. You should either steal a vehicle or go to a garage and realistically act like you are pulling out a car. (Should include more roleplay than doing /PV and selecting your car and driving off). In addition,
you should never do /dv to delete a vehicle if it is actively involved in a roleplay situation. For example, if you run from the cops, you can't delete your car to get rid of it. You may want to drive it into the water or something to that nature to get rid of it. - If you have an issue about a way an RP situation is being handled you should take it to the admin or person you were interacting with first. If you can not get it handled, contact a member of GTA LE or make a dropbox (Dropboxes are much more preferred). You should wait until AFTER the roleplay scenario is over to try to go out of OOC to talk about it or to go talk to the person on Teamspeak/make a forum post.
- NLR Adjustments: On all law enforcement scenes where you are downed, you have to be picked up and you will go to the hospital and then jail or just jail. Then for PVP stuff, if the player is revived then they will be the same person and may have limited memory of that situation. If they die completely or choose to die completely, then it is NLR.
- Discord should not be used for in character conversations. Additionally, any info posted in Discord (unless specified by leadership) cannot be used in character. Law Enforcement and Fire/EMS have exceptions and guidelines of what can and can not be used IC and what is OOC.
- Forums: feel free to post suggestions in either the Dropbox or in the GTA forum and complaints and concerns in the dropbox.

Summarized - There may be hiccups and issues at times but we will always be dedicated to bringing you the best place to play. GTA is growing and we will be doing pretty big things soon enough. Keep up the great work!
Misc. Points
POINT - If a tow truck comes and impounds your car, you can't just PV it back in. You should visit the impound lot to get your car or wait 30 minutes before pulling your car out again.
POINT - Limit the use of OOC/Twitter. You should not have full out conversations in Twitter and OOC should be to report issues or help players, not to have conversations. If you want to talk to them, meet up with them.
POINT - We are aware of an ammo bug where if you disconnect or die you lose your ammo. We are waiting on ESX to update their plugin(s) to fix this issue.
POINT - If you want to create a job to help expand your RP (like a law office or a taco truck chain, etc), write up a nice detailed plan and present it to us in the Dropbox.
POINT - We are looking at getting more people for different jobs like the banker and real estate jobs. More info coming soon!
POINT - We will be adding more information about promotions/demotions/firing within legal jobs on our Introduction to EGO FiveM thread.
POINT - We can add more drugs and locations so if you have any ideas, post them in the GTA forum or in the Dropbox.
POINT - Some of the things you may see on other servers may not be on ours because it is not stable with our plugins.
Q&A
NLR - active scenario (civ gets shot 3 times and medic gets killed in the crossfire), when you respawn will you be a new character?
Yes. If you completely die and are forced to respawn, you are a new person.
Discord & use of third party in the rules, specifics?
As mentioned above in the minutes, Discord should never be used for in character stuff unless specified otherwise. Teamspeak and other voice communications are fine because you can treat it as a phone call. With that being said, you can not call someone if you are in handcuffs, therefore, you can not tell people in TS or other third party voice programs if you wouldn't have access to a phone in your situation.
Can I have multiple cars of mine spawned in for a scenario?
Yes, as long as they aren't the same one.
Will there be more EMTs?
Yes, we are actively recruiting EMTs and are responding to applications the best we can. If you have any friends who may want to be one, help them join! For the meantime, if there aren't medics on, call the cops. Several cops have permissions to revive you.
Is there a way cops can get a faster vehicle to keep up with the new fast cars on the server?
Right now we are doing our best to balance the speeds of our police cars and civilian cars. We get complaints from cops about them not being able to keep up with civs and complaints from civs on how they can't get away from cops, despite the type of car they have. We are working non-stop to balance out vehicle speeds.
Are we ever going to get women cops?
Sure! First, we would want to hire some and we will be introducing some peds for them later down the road.
When can I bring my car back if it gets impounded or stolen?
If you haven't seen your car in 30 minutes and the impound lot (usually the LS Customs downtown) doesn't have it, then it would be a good time to spawn it in. No less than 30 minutes though.
Speed limits?
If you see an in-game speed limit sign, that's what the speed limit is. Otherwise, the cities are 35-40 and the highways are 65-70.
Can Deputies have the ability to have revive?
This is a feature we are definitely looking into adding.
Possibly linking fire/ems and police calls?
Not a bad concept so both agencies could see whats going on but would be a cluster. So for now, no.
Chat in the way for all the menus?
Don (GardenGroveVW) is going to be working on a project to move all the menus to the lower right to prevent this issue.
Add in-game pop-up that explains important server info?
We used to have a menu on entry but it was outdated and wasn't the best. We will be looking at changing our loading screens to have key information
Wondering about carrying assault rifles and pulling them out?
So in our powergaming rule, you can not pull out a large weapon without typing it out in chat or something to that nature. You would need to pull it out your vehicle because you wouldn't be able to commonly hold a large ak under your jacket. However, you may add a bag to your character and roleplay that you pull it out the bag.
Is there a way to add a gun license?
This is a feature that we definitely want to add later down the road. Right now, we don't have any plugins to do it. If we ever get a good one, then we will add it. Keep your eyes peeled.
Is there a way to buy ammo?
Not at this time. Also another feature we will eventually look into adding.
Can we implement a court system w/ lawyers, etc?
For now, we are going to hold off on a court system. If you have a well structured idea for a court system, feel free to post in our Dropbox!
Will there be helicopters, planes or boats coming soon?
Leadership is actively looking into how we want to do this. As soon as we can come up with a resolution we will let everyone know!
Apartments don't display rent or prices at all?
We were not fully aware of this issue and will be looking into getting it resolved ASAP. Hopefully getting some real estate agents will help combat this issue.
How do we express interest to become a job boss?
Send RipplyTiger151 and GardenGroveVW (Don) a PM either on here or on Discord.
Is there a black market?
Yes, the hint for the location will be reposted in a thread in the near future.
What is the time frame on getting translations done for all the menus?
Hopefully in the next week.
Circle by gas stations that always say you are not in the right place, what are those?
They are for electric cars.
Vehicle damage, you said that it was in the game previous? and if so when would it be put in, also would it break something on the car like the oil pan falls off and your car seizes up?
We used to have a vehicle damage script but it is buggy. It would display your vehicles damaged if you took them out the garage no matter what. We are actively looking for a replacement.
Are salaries going up?
Bosses can manually change the salaries, so reach out to your boss about a pay raise. However, Leadership will be soon putting restrictions on how low and how high they can put the salaries.
Better Server Restart Warnings?
We will do our best to send out warnings at least 5 minutes before a restart. However, some changes require an almost immediate restart in order to help with stability.
Are cop salaries going up?
This is in discussions.
Gun ammo disappearing on death or rejoining?
This is a bug and we are waiting for ESX devs to fix it.
Go on/off duty easier for people who don't have permission to do it?
We are looking into a way to do this. We will keep everyone in the know about it.
Reserved slots for cops?
We would like to introduce reserved slots not only for cops but also Dedicated Supporters. We are discussing this as well as finding a plugin to allow us to do this.
Can cops get the ability to revive themselves?
We are adding an option in our cop menu to revive someone but this would be a downside. Will be discussing this at a leadership level.
So if you do /register, is there any way to restore the previous character?
Yes, "/char #". You can store up to three characters.
If you NLR, can we keep our money, etc?
Yes but be smart about it. I would highly suggest changing car colors or even purchasing new vehicles with different plates so you don't have any issues with your old identity when it comes to police interactions.
