I am a formerly United States Navy Sailor, having served with distinction in the service. I was stationed at Great Lakes, MI. I am 45, formerly a Techie, in the Information Technology Field (Retired) after 30+ years.

I am an avid Gamer, I play Flight Simulation, also develop add-ons in the way of repaints, scenery and modify Flight Dynamics (Engineering stuff), I am in World of Warcraft, Old School MMORPG (Muds, Mucks, Mushes, and Moos, including Runescape and Loong). Also the World of Simulations (Warships, Planes and Tanks) too...

I went from Galefornea (California in Swartzenneger-eze) (Born and raised there) to Arizona in 2003, moving to Phoenix, AZ in 2006 where I reside with Spouse for going on 11 years, with No children. I am a Writer of Science Fiction/Fantasy. My interests are in Literature, but I still very active in the Information Technology Arena and gaming. I am also a martial artist, studying and practicing forms of Aikido, Tai-Chi, and Kinjitsu...

I am as old as a mountain, but only starting my youth in years.

People who know me, will say i am no nonsense, very direct, blunt and very inflexible, (Because of Service), But I generally can get along with anyone from anywhere. (Place or country). Just don't con me and we'll get along fine. I won't seem warm at first, I just have to get to know you first... It takes time... I am actually a nice person and can be trusted in any endeavor, and do what is right.

My motto is simple.

"Just because our governments act like horse's asses, it does not mean the people have to act in the same manner." People are People... We can be civilized... I leave it at that.

Hey miller, thank you so much for your service. I'm sure you have plenty of stories to tell and deserve a great retirement. You should share some of your stories that you write here! Put them in the Off-Topic section. I would like to read them sometimes, always nice to see someone who loves writing.

Hopefully I see ya around, and don't worry. Age is just a number

Welcome brother. RM2 here from 83-88 aboard USS Halsey CG-23.

Everyone's journey will start for them at different times. Some in the youth of their springs, others in the eve of their winters.

You, my friend, seem like a wonderful summer day, with a nice breeze floating through, but steadfastly warm with the bright rays of the sun beating down. Pleasant but true to the season; never wavering from a calm, hot day despite feeling nice with a cool iced tea in your hands.

And that's what we're gonna paint today. A nice, warm scene; maybe a little bit of sand around, but otherwise lush green hills and bright, blooming flowers.

Something nice for our little friend here. Welcome to eGO, good buddy.

Nice a fellow sqiddy. (Artemis)

i was on my way to fleet and stationed at Great Lakes... for that year... they delayed me a bit after graduation and then discharged me for something they missed in MEPS... it should be on them... my barracks was the Marvin Shields FF 1066 (Technically my ship according to my Chief)

I put in though for Combat duty close in support on a Frigate or a Destroyer on the fighting line... I looked at it this way for me this was a one way ticket... enlisted at 31 (with a degree and working on another), putting in for and asked for, which they gave me a 10 year enlistment.. (When max was 6) and if I got my head shot off well, I tried my best... box me up and ship me home. I came home, but i did get something back out of the military... which I certainly had a BLAST doing it... and loved being in... (<-- 2nd generation Navy here.) I got my Honor back... I miss those 240 young men and women I served with. It was an HONOR to serve with them...

I volunteered at 45 (send letter to president and DOD and pentagon) Told them basically If the shit is hitting the fan, and Captain January needs all his people in the military... Call me. You got your first Volunteer... medical RE codes be damned. I'll go... If I fall, I will not falter, and I will take as many of them with me as I can before I do. I am not afraid of the enemy, (ISIS, NK or whoever it may be)... I challenge the military and will succeed, my loyalty is to my country not the idiot politics that run it. I stand by that...

Oh cool, you're the second person that I know is a retired military person, anyway greetings!
Welcome to the ego community :3
