Yes; I have to use it every day at work. I expect most people have not used it before though.
 
I used it to break filters and files I don't like :P Also fun to put Linux Mint on a flash drive
 
Used to tinker with it a few years ago out of a passing interest. Had it set up as a dual-boot with windows. Got too annoying to reboot my pc anytime I wanted to game with friends though.
 
Just a little on an old laptop once. Never ever since then and not interested in using it either.
 
The phone systems and IP phones I programmed all ran Linux. It was fun to telnet into my desk phone and replace all the ringtones with custom ones in my office. Everyone was confused when I would get a call and the GTA IV theme started playing :D
 
Ubuntu distros are easy to get used to, and if you have not a lot of RAM can do a lot for you.
 
Yes.

I used Ubuntu Linux many many years ago back in 2006 or 2007 for like 3 months to see how it worked and the interface. I don't remember hating it at all just was different and it took a little bit of time to setup.
 
Can't say that i have ever messed with it, really no interest to be honest.
 
I have a laptop I use at work that runs ubuntu.
It's my primary laptop when I'm going from building to building.

My mac is also dual booted Mac OS X and Ubuntu.
 
Its been many, many years. I installed some random OS that run linux. I put it on an old computer that I wasn't using anymore just to tinker with it.

I once played monopoly with a friend using lubuntu durring class... never got caught. oh yeah, here's a funny pic.

I messed around with Red Hat Linux a long time ago as a kid. But that was about it haven't used it since.

I feel like Adam is that type of guy who when two people are discussing wether windows or the Mac OS is better he chimes in "Actually Linux is the superior operating system"

I needed something to run on a PC I was putting in my car back in 1997 to run Winamp.
Windows 95 was junk and would crash every time I would turn the car off. Had to go through a boot up check when turned back on.
So I found Red Hat 3.1 and tried to get it working. My Word what a dang pain in the ace it was working with that junk. Mount this mount that, I gave up after 3 weeks of learning absolutely nothing from the "very" wordy help files that were useless to humans.
I finally got Win95 working by not running a check each start up when shut down improperly. I was running 1,000 songs through Winamp as a MP3 player in my car. I wrote a plugin for Winamp to show all the song info on a 4x20 LED green backlit display. Then wrote a second plugin to control Winamp through a small keypad.
Dang those were the days...I would show up at parties and the world was mine with a car radio that would play anything you wanted. As long as it was one of the 1,000 songs I had loaded on the 4GB hard drive.
The girls loved it. Wish I could have gotten Linux to work.
