Vanilla Unicorn Shootout
By: John Exo, Amateur Reporter
What was advertised on social media as a "High Profit Party" by Tom_Evergreen, turned into a bloody shootout early Sunday morning involving several individuals. I arrived at "The Vanilla Unicorn" between Elgin Ave and Strawberry Ave, soon after the initial shots had been fired. On my way toward the club I counted twenty or more shots ring out over the city streets. Upon arrival the bouncer was fighting off an individual who I believe was trying to enter the club without paying the $25,000 fee advertised. There were at least two grove street gang members found dead on the scene. After the bouncer dealt with the assailant, he approached me beside my Weazel News van, taser drawn, and asked me to stop taking photos.
Soon After several individuals on motorcycles drove into the parking lot and began shooting at someone down the alley. I was unable to see the target(s). The group of motorcyclist didn't have the basic tell-tale signs of being in a gang(Coordinated colors, markings, clothing or flags) but a small regularly meeting crew based off the cohesion between them. After the motorcycles left, the only sounds you heard was the DJ in the club and the cheers of people enjoying their time.
(The only photos taken were very graphic or featured women in lingerie)
