He could if the god of thunder is Fail and he is... Mostly because no one belives in him anymore but an Ironman suit is still somewhat possible to make...
 
not sure if this is just a rumor or not but last year i read that HHH from wwe will play THOR. I hope not.. wrestlers just wreck movies in my opinion.

Batman would win because Iron Man would be too hammered to participate. Apparently, the plan is to explore Tony Stark's raging alcoholism in the second film, hence the allusions to War Machine ("next time, baby!") in this film.

Expect to see Mandarin in the second film as well, based again on interviews with the director and subtle references to the Ten Rings of Mandarin (the terrorist group being called "the ten rings").

I did notice that allusion. Plus, there were some scenes where the head terrorist honcho seems to be paying fond attention to a large ring or two he was wearing... Methinks foreshadowing...

So here's an interesting thought... **SPOILER OF SORTS**

We never, in the movie, see the head terrorist die. Could it be that he either IS Mandarin or that he (more likely) is protected from the full brunt of the explosion via the ring?

That is possible Flippy, and does make a lot of sense. However, the head terrorist doesn't look to me like The Mandarin, high up subordinate maybe? Somehow I just can't see The Mandarin being anything other than Chinese.
 
Well Thor... you forgot to mention the awesome factor... Besides a superhero thats good at everything is stupid, all of them need a few things they are bad at or it isn't interesting. Being perfect is Thor's imperfection in my eyes.

You're probably right. This is from the Mandarin's Wikipedia page:

All I'm saying is that to be a good superhero you need to be able to fight some weakness, you need to be able to overcome something so that all the little kids can look up to you. I will give you the fact that Thor is awesome in his abilities, but as a god wouldn't you just expect something like that? It just makes him seem...regular...not special or even alien like The Martian (by the way I despise Superman).

Also I would like to point out that Spidey is barely a notch below Thor in almost all areas.
 
It doesn't necessarily have to be a physical or ability flaw. From what I was reading in the history of Thor's character on the Marvel website (as I admit, I really didn't know all too much about him as a Marvel character), it seems that his flaw for quite some time was vanity and arrogance. One can be the perfect physical and mental specimen (ala thor) but still have several character and personality flaws to round him out as a good superhero with some kind of conflict and and more flavor.
