Just bringing it to anyone's attention

I was in Dustbowl server recently (2:20AM eastern time) and there was a lot of complaining of two users who were "hacking" by having a constant uber. I personally didn't see it, but about 4 people on my team were complaining about it. There wasn't an admin in the server until everyone started to complain, in which the one user left at his own will. The two users names (I think) were "Samuel" and "Search and Destroy". The admin who came in minutes later was (I think) "Drunken Sailor".

Didn't know if it was a bug or whatever that would allow an user to appeared Ubered, and/or if they actually WERE ubered at the time.

Probably not a huge deal, but just thought I'd bring it up. I don't even know if this belongs in this topic, haha.

But yes, Medics were able to become invincible for an infinite amount of time, until they were healed by a medic or a dispenser. However, this was supposed to be fixed in a patch that was released today.

yeah i was playing on 2fort, and one of my friends said they patched TF2. He said it was the Perma Uber glitch with medics, so technically it should be gone.

The patch apparently hasn't been applied to some servers. They probably need a reboot before people will stop.

He may be referring to the trick where 2 medics take turns ubering eachother and while ubered, use the ubersaw to get another uber ready, thereby letting them consistently keep ubers up. (seen here: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxoC7j3d0WQ[/ame]) This is not an exploit.

I believe the exploit that was fixed with the patch allowed a medic to be permanently ubered all on his own. (seen here: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5z_AAVrA4Q[/ame])

I guess this would explain the server restarts last night around 8pm EDT.

[/quote1210085137]Forgive me, I didn't mean to sound callous. I probably should've made it a bit clearer that the *wah wah waaah* was directed at Valve for botching the patch, if that was the case.

Please do be aware of the speedhack for ubering. If you're on team with someone who has just spawned and suddenly has an uber, or has just used uber and suddenly has it again, get a demo and report in ban requests.

But if you're talking about what Crashman said, the ubersaw Medic-Medic combo's aren't exploits. In fact, I've done this a few times on non-eGO servers.
