After the holiday hodag tonight ikillyou, redvan, senorbobross, and myself have hit a breakthrough with the ultimate question, "Is a hotdog a sandwich". We debated for over half an hour about what makes a sandwich a sandwich. Through our extensive research we have learned that a hotdog is in fact a sandwich, and so is everything else... yourself, your pet dog, the earth, and even the galaxy. We are all surrounded by air, the earth has the atmosphere.

The real definition of a sandwich is 2 things enclosing a filling inside which technically makes my laptop a sandwich. Also there was a good point made. If you put a bun on the floor and ask someone else to put a bun on the other side of the planet, you just made yourself an animal plant sandwich which is what I call a vegetarian's nightmare.
A sandwich is named by what is inside of it technically (or at least the major parts of a sandwich)
The hotdog is only a sandwich when it exists within its bun since in reality the bun is bread surrounding the meat.
