The Fast Fill Task Force is BACK!
Some time ago, the Fast Fill Task Force was a backbone of the Team Fortress 2 division.
They would go from server to server, raising up the numbers and getting our ranks into the
top 100?s at one point. Great members like Goyan Tanuki and Gerbil led the team to bring our
servers prosperity, but through time the team eventually fell off and became a fond memory
of the division?s past.
But no longer.
Ladies and gentlemen, it is my distinct honor
to announce the return of the Fast Fill Task Force!
What is the FFTF?
The FFTF (or Fast Fill Task Force) is a group of TF2 Division members that are looking to
improve the health and quality of our servers. FFTF members can be anyone, and you can
be a part of it simply by joining the Steam group and putting #FFTF in your Steam name!
A few individual captains post announcements at 5 PM CT / 6 PM ET every day, letting the
whole group know what server is getting filled and when it?s happening. As soon as that
announcement goes out, FFTF members storm the server and fill it up!
What would my responsibility be as a member?
Honestly, there isn?t much responsibility at all. If you do not want to fill, you have
no obligation to do so. That being said, the FFTF is a powerful machine that needs the
help of everyone to run effectively! As a member, when you see an announcement,
simply join the server that is announced. Even if you can?t actually PLAY, your presence is a
huge boost to our server health!
I can?t consistently fill at that 5:00 PM CT / 6:00 PM ET. What can I do instead?
Idling on our servers is a marvelous help. Not only does it passively boost our server rank,
it also increases the probability our servers will be filled without even having to actively fill it!
Just leave your game alt-tabbed and afk in spectator while you go play something else or do
real life responsibilities. I cannot stress how helpful idling is through mere words, so I will
use the assistance of an emoticon. ʕ?ᴥ?ʔ
Are there any benefits for me filling that aren?t just server ranks or server health?
Why, yes! There sure are! Starting in January, there will be a massive contest occurring
that will reward the most dedicated of fillers. Details on the way!
HOW DO I GET STARTED?
Join this steam group, and at 5 PM CT / 6 PM ET every day a steam announcement will be sent out
(ie., "FFTF to Snowfort!"). If you're free, join us. That?s all there is to it!
If you are a =(eG)= or =(eGO)= ranked admin and are interested in becoming a fill captain,
private message me and I?d love to talk to you about it!
