Tech Help Frame Lag with Mouse Movement

Hello techies, as of last week I have been getting frame lag while playing games such as CS:GO and League of Legends, but only when I move my mouse. For example, while my mouse is still I will get 250-300FPS however as soon as I move my mouse, and only while i'm moving my mouse, it drops to 40-50FPS. As of now I have a short term solution of restarting my computer which temporarily resolves the issue, but only for a map or two. For some reason this only applies to the two games I listed above and have tried many times to mess with settings and what not but it has changed nothing. I don't know if this helps but I have a Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum mouse and as far as I know the software is up to date.

Any suggestions or solutions would me much appreciated! (also yes, I've tried turning it off and on again you memers)
 
I had the same problem with the G602, and I open the Logitech gaming software (8.96) and turned off all of the automatic game detection, and it seemed to fix the problem for me.

Sometimes, however, I have the problem of my mouse just lagging across the screen and not affecting the game, still trying to solve that one.

Just a WAG: Try removing the Logitech software and see how it works. You are not the only person to complain about this issue with that specific mouse. Something is screwy with the software apparently and has been the most common suspect/cause for the mouse lag issue.

Another resolution: Change polling rate in Logitech software to 500 and turn vsync on. The other common cause I'm reading is that the DPI is too high for the OS/software to properly register, and causes the stuttering/lag effect.

Also, what OS are you using?
 
You might be experiencing frame lag due to how fast your monitor is. A 60hz refresh rate won't display more than 60 fps due to the monitor's image changing only 60 times per second. So it seems like you have mouse lag because your monitor is displaying half of one frame and half of another frame. Fps meters only tell you what your video card is capable of rendering not what is visually displayed on your monitor. Ignore this if you have a high refresh rate like 120hz or higher and is a totally different cause which is likely. Check for viruses. Like someone else suggested, reduce the polling rate.

I ended up disabling the logitech software, rather than uninstalling, and surprisingly that worked! Thanks everyone.

On an unrelated note I did find a virus and took care of that too :D

p.s. windows 10 is my os

Bruh,

1. Is the g502 in 2.0 usb or 3.0 usb
If it is in 2.0, switch to 3.0

2. Is angle snapping on?
if so disable it, Go to LGS/Settings/G502/ angle snapping

3.Is report rate at 1000?
if it is not, change it to 1000.

4. Is firmware on the mouse uptodate?
if so/ go to C:\Program Files\Logitech Gaming Software\FWUpdate\G502RGB
and run the update, running it will make your mouse unusable till its finished.
