While most hardware prices are stable like CPU and motherboards. Graphics cards are another story. While looking at Newegg the other day, i noticed that the prices for graphics cards are outrageously high.

Here are the price ranges for various cards

  1. GTX 1080: $739-$1925 https://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod...88&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&Order=PRICE&PageSize=36
  2. GTX 1070: $899-$1449 https://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod...93&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&Order=PRICE&PageSize=36
  3. GTX 1060 3gb: $289-$868 https://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod...41&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&Order=PRICE&PageSize=36
  4. GTX 1060 6gb: $350-$838 https://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod...43&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&Order=PRICE&PageSize=36

AMD's prices aren't any better

Thanks alot Cryptocurrencies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blah. Wonder when these prices will drop down again, just so extreme for a GPU.

All this because people want to spend more buying graphics cards and RAM and upping their electric bill than they'll ever make back on digital Monopoly money. Nice
