Server Technical Issues

Hello everyone,

I'm here to brief you on the status of the server.

Today, the server box locked up and the OS is pretty screwed up. Here is the message from our service provider:

Looked like your machine was stuck at the recovery screen, I attempted to boot it to Windows but it failed with a "BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO" error screen. A quick Google search says that maybe we can try a Last Known Good Configuration. If you'd like I can try to push that through, but if that doesn't work or fails you may be looking at an OS reinstallation.

Don, aka GardenGroveVW, is in the process of trying to recover whatever he can. There are three things that could happen:

1. Everything goes well and everything is recovered.
2. We can recover server files but not the database, so we will have to do a server reset.
3. We can't recover anything and we have to start from basically scratch.

We will keep everyone up to date on what happens but we wanted to make sure everyone is aware of the worst that could happen. Just keep your fingers crossed.

UPDATE - We were able to recover the base of the server files so far. We are trying to get the VHDX copy to work so we can everything from before. If all else fails, we have a back up from the database from 2-16-2018. This means that if we aren't able to get the VHDX to work, we will just have to go back to a month ago. People will lose stuff or may not have much at all, but at least this is better than losing everything.

Yea, we won't be reimbursing anyone unfortunately. Too much chance of people fabricating stories of what they had and it would be too time consuming.
