Nostalgia attack

Was looking through my dad's software drawer (the guy insists on saving every CD ever and sticks them all in this one giant drawer) to try to find my old windows vista OS disk, and found this while looking. Nostalgia sure strikes at some weird times, huh?

Those were the days! I miss the classic CoD days.
 
Definitely. I basically grew up playing this and Doom I + II.

Edit: Oh, and I-Spy. Lots and LOTS of I-Spy.
 
The 1st CoD and Jedi Outcast were my jam back in the day. The clan that I was in was great! Then WoW killed it. lol

Bruh... I have so much stuff that would give you a Nostalgia Heart attack. I also pretty much save everything... Way to much to list... but just to give you an example...
In a box in my Electronics Closet I have an original Atarii 2600 (gen1) with TONS of peripherals and games... I've been meaning to get it out, clean it up, and make sure it still works... but... well i'll get around to it eventually.

>>EDIT: Also. Just as an idea... the way I have my TVs in my gaming room set up is pretty sweet.. Hooked up to both side-by-side tv's at all times (and thus able to be able to played on either tv (or both) at any time) I have currently hooked up: N64, PS2, og Wii, xbox360, PS4, and WiiU (I have an og xBox also. but its not hooked up)

I still have my original Doom2 install backed up... Including map making tools, and my first "fully completed" map I made... I mean. I made lots of maps before that... But it was the first one I considered a "fully polished" product

I'm more concerned that you were looking for the discs for that dumpster fire of an OS called Vista.

My first ever PC that was actually mine was a HP pavilion d6500 (or something close), It came with vista. TBH I preferred XP from the gateway desktop PC I used to use that could only run I-spy and minesweeper.

Also, can we all appreciate how slow that potato of a craptop was? Honestly, the XP desktop that was 5 years older was faster...
 
my first pc came with DOS... and 5.25 floppies...
Also... i still use Vista. No reason to upgrade.
This computer is as old as some of you... and it still runs good, all but the newest of games.

*Insert obligatory "back in my day..." joke here*

In all seriousness though, vista wasn't the worst. What really gets on my nerves though is the whole telemetry thing with windows 10. You stop being the customer and become the product for advertisers. And now that they've stopped supporting some newer processors with windows 7 and 8, 10 is the only windows some newer builds will run. They're doing everything they can to shove it on people, and that just gets me started on the whole auto updating thing... I almost want to switch to Linux, but the learning curve isn't worth it... That and I'm on a surface book, no idea if one of Microsoft's "flagship" laptops would agree with anything other than windows.

Sorry, this kinda turned into "Baguette-is-salty-about-windows-10-and-rants-for-a-bit"
 
One of my (several) computers in my gaming room still has windows XP on it... i even had a win98 until a few years ago...
