Looking for thoughts on these components for new build. I play all the latest games at 1080 right now might want to get into 4k in a year or so...

Don't really see any issues with any of these parts, all good high quality stuff, good brands. I'm assuming you have other components already?

That CPU you'll need a nice cooler for as well.

Go with the 1080 for sure, and for the motherboards the ROG has more features that's all so both would do there jobs well.
