Here are the relevant questions asked on today's Clan Wide Meeting in regards the merging with Prestige Gaming:
Q&A
1. What happens to both Websites
a. There will be a full transition at some point. Right now they stay the same; eventually PG?s site will redirect to EGO?s; eventually posting and registration will be posted only at EGO. We don?t want to lose PG?s history.
2. Changes on the Admin structure.
a. Right now the tags and the administration will not change whatsoever. After the whole merge is over, we will determine the future of the new community.
3. What about PG Awards.
a. We will probably make new awards, like legacy awards for PG?s achievements.
4. PG sponsors that will come over to EGO.
a. We will always look for any contributions, that being said PG does not have sponsors that we will acquire.
5. Sharing Bans between PG and EGO servers.
a. Yes, there will be a shared list of individuals that are not welcomed to this new big community. The Tech Team will place the foundations on that one. MAUL will be on top of every server?s administration. All situations will be taken care of case by case.
6. Rule engagement.
a. Our rules are pretty similar. For the most part our rule structure will remain; if we see any opportunity to change our rules for the best, we will.
7. Is this a take over?
a. No. It is a merge, we will both benefit from this and EGO will grow a lot.
8. Community server list names.
a. Servers are staying the same. For the average player there will be no massive changes. The transition will be slow and smart.
9. Servers will increase in numbers?
a. Definitely. PG has works, EGO too. We will change nothing to ensure the best gaming experience yet. Also the rules of the servers will not be modified unless we find opportunities for each server individually, talked out by the Leaders of each Division.
10. Community are changing names?
a. No names will be changed in the immediate future. We will figure out the smartest steps to avoid confusion for both communities? members and pubs.
11. Will PG admins will have to be retrained?
a. Leadership teams, which will also merge, will work together for members who are trainers or admins, get the best of this deal. We will try to place everyone on the same level of responsibilities they had before the merge.
12. PG?s Discord and TeamSpeak will be redirected?
a. Yes. We are not shutting down stuff. We will take our time, making filters for people to be comfortable for the transition.
13. Will point systems and player models be transferred?
a. Yes, the Tech teams will have to make it happen, transitions and new implementations if necessary. Dedicated Supporter and VIP will work within the same grounds; we will be very considerate on the donation topics.
14. What about groups like QA on PG?
a. We will not change responsibilities, i.e. QA will merge to our PSC.
15. When it comes to admining PG servers, do we need to get trained as PG admins?
a. Of course! We are making a merge, that means learning from the other guys, too.
16. How are we handling disagreements?
a. Leaders will see the bigger picture. We will achieve the objectives by communicating from top to down and all issues will be taken care as maturely as possible.
17. TeamSpeak has a limit of clients, how do we manage the merge?
a. All Technical problems will be taken care of as they rise and as resources are allocated on the daily basis.
18. The admin retraining, where does that takes place?
a. After the merge is complete, most likely. Probably at the same time if possible.
