World of Warcraft?

So, does anyone here play WoW? I used to, I'm a quitter with several 70s under my belt and I plan on going back after WotLK launches. Anyone got a server they play on that'll let me reroll on so I'm not lonely? The server my characters are on is pretty horrible, so I wanna reroll.

Ya WoW is like crack... glad I'm off of it... I wish I quit back when I could sell my toons for about $1,000 for my 2 main 70's.... then 400-600 for my 3 other 70's....

I'm not willing to pay that much money in a game I'm not into. I'd rather pay $20 for a game I can play for absolutely free anytime I want than $20 for a game that has monthly payments...

it consumed my soul for 2 years easily. Glad i played it, kinda sad i don't any more but i prefer not being bound for 5-7 hours 5 days a week. It was really fun and i met some amazing people but eh. too much of a chore. miss my mage though

I'm still actively playing WoW although not as much as I used to. My guild dissolved and guild shopping on my server as a Rogue isn't fun, so I'm taking a break from it. I'd like to go back eventually.

I played WoW for like 2 months and then i got bored. I ended up with a lvl 27 warrior and a lvl 14 mage

For my 3 + years of playing before I quit, I calculated that I've dumped about $3000 into the game, including playtime, transfers, and buying the disks twice. Realizing all the time and money into a game like that can be an eye opener

If you played for 4 years at 15 a month, thats 720, then 200 for the 4 disks. You would have had to have transfered ~110 times to make up the extra 2k. Thats a lot of transferring or inflated numbers. Unless you had 2 accounts, in which case around 50 transfers.

A modest estimate of 20 hours played a week, comes to 80 a month. $15 divided by 80=19c. Not sure where else you could find entertainment for 19 cents an hour. And I am willing to bet most people play well more then 20 hours a week.

Not defending the game or anything, just such a high number demanded i break out the windows calculator. haha.

Edit: I suppose I should talk about the game some though. I do have an active account in WoW. I stopped raiding big time back when there were 40 mans. Still in the guild but more as a legacy status, they cleared all of end game. I am more a sideline cheerleader these days. Don't have a desire to spend my whole evening in a raid.

As for redspring getting bored, don't blame you. Warriors are painful to level... or so I am told.

I played WoW for a good 2 and a half years. I quit last August and I'm glad I did. I spent so much freaking time in the game, I look back and see how really sad it was.

I was that dude (shadow priest) that people knew on the server, part of "that" guild. Some where in the top 200 guilds in the world and rolled with the hardcore pvpers while I wasn't raiding.

GET OUT!!! NEVER GO BACK TO AN MMORPG, seriously I never will.

I played from release up until about 3 months ago. I haven't looked at it since and am glad I haven't. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the game. After all, how many games can you say you played for 3 years straight?

I'm looking forward to WAR as I was once an avid Games Workshop fan. I just hope it isn't the grind that WoW turned out to be.
