NEWS BULLETIN: Sheriff's Department Changes 5/17/18

Team,

Sheriff Wayne Cabbage made the department administration aware that he will be stepping down from his responsibilities effective immediately. Mr. Cabbage will be assuming a Reserve Deputy role within the department. I will be stepping in as Interim Sheriff overseeing the department as we adjust administrative personnel.

In an effort to immediately stabilize department administration, Noah Haynes and Michael McCarthy will be moving back into administrative roles until permanent positions are filled. Mr. McCarthy will be assuming interim role as Undersheriff and Mr. Haynes assuming the role of interim Major.

Further progress will be made over the coming week in regards to permanent positions. This is an exciting time to be apart of the department as progress, growth and opportunity are prevalent. Existing recruitment programs will remain in place as we look to further pad out patrol roster with new prospects.
