hey i am rather new in this group. hence, i am an =e=, what drew me to this group was the "apply for admin" banner at the splash of each server. i have read all of the rules and whatnot, and i do understand that it is best not to ask for a promotion. but to "apply" for a position seems to be asking for it. So, do you apply for admin, as implied by the banner, or do you try to work through the ranks?

I don't think you apply for admin, you just get promoted by following the guidelines in this Promotion thread. Other than that, I wouldn't worry about it, just show dedication and reason as to why you want/need to be promoted without asking for it. Hope it helps! =]

You don't apply for admin, you have to achieve it. Soon you will be an admin. =(e)=™ to =(eG)=™ and so on.

You pretty much work your way up through the ranks. The most important thing would be activity and dedication to the servers. Playing often, instead of just an hour a week, will get you noticed more, and showing up to help fill servers that need it (join the Steam group to get the notifications) is always a plus.
Other things are good communication skills, good attitude, and a clear understanding of the rules.
