I know we don't allow farming, but I was hoping for some clarification as to exactly what entails farming in your eyes. For example, specifically asking a heavy to melee when I uber him, or going for a scout, seem to be the most troublesome. I want the achievements, and I want to play on these servers, but if I'm going to get called a farmer for it, I would like to know now, so I can cut out the middleman and just get them elsewhere.

My take on it is that when you ask another player to change their gameplay so that you can gain an achievement, that is considered farming. Pretty much, if you're overtly performing an action to specifically gain an achievement, such as always running around with your medic gun out and never healing people, it's probably going to be considered farming. Especially if your actions aren't helping the team out any. There are plenty of servers out there dedicated to achievement farming. If you really want your achievements that bad, why not go to one of those and gain them there instead of risking being banned from our servers?
In the end, the admins on the server will have to make the determination as to whether or not you're farming, but if it appears to an admin that your goals are not to help your team, but to gain your achievements, you might want to watch out.

While I somewhat agree with Respawn, I dont necessarily think asking a heavy to try and punch a few people is farming, nor is ubering a scout, in my opinion, BUT I have ogne out of my way to have fun by ubering snipers(ask Firethem) and at least one spy so far(ask Jehuty). I do it for fun, this is a game and sometimes it breaks the monotony of always ubering the same people and so far I have heard no complaints. I usually just see lol's and hear a few laughs over the voice chat in game and over vent.
To me farming is basically going out of your way to try and get the achievements AND not helping your teammates.
