Battlefield Division BFV closed alpha

I got a code to play the closed alpha sadly tried to play it and it is currently unplayable as you can not do too much to change things like aiming down sight. I spent 15 minutes trying to change some of the stuff to make it playable and gave up. Not at all happy with the alpha to say the least

My thoughts after my first session:

Overall, I think its very fun. The sound, graphics, and UI are amazing, as to be expected from DICE. I was getting a bit of freezing at first, but it seemed to smooth out quickly, and boy, 1080p60+ on this game is gorgeous. The weapons and gunplay so far seem to be pretty balanced as far as I can tell. It plays very nice. The new revive system isn't as bad or as long as I thought it might be, and I welcome the change. One of the only things I thought was iffy was I had to turn my brightness all the way up because indoors it sometimes reached almost pitch black and I couldn't see where I was. I didn't try the tanks but I did try the plane for a little bit, and coming from maining the fighter from BF1, these planes seem really slow. The turning is very wide, but it is more realistic and makes dogfighting a bit more challenging. I am definitely excited to keep playing and I think the game is going to turn out better than what most people are making it out to be.

I should clarify that I was playing Conquest earlier. I haven't tried the Grand Operations mode and I'm not sure if I will. I wasn't a huge fan of the original mode in BF1.

Also Beemermarine , what problems were you having? It seemed to me like the Options offered all the usual settings and tweaks.

I'm still kinda on the fence about this game, I want to like it, but my severe lack of trust in DICE/EA is keeping me from actually getting excited about the Changes and the Game because if there is one this I know DICE/EA know how to do it's paint a picture that appears nice to make you buy their product. I don't hate the game I am just very cautious of everything EA puts out.

Overall the changes are nice, but time will tell which is why I refuse to pre-purchase this BF.

Yes they changed some things but it feels like BF1 with updated mechanics. They are focused to much on graphics and looks and not enough on fundamentally changing everything.

At this point I doubt anything EA puts out that is battlefield related will ever catch my eye again.

To be fair it is still a very early version of the game... I wouldn't base an opinion on the whole game off of it just yet. I would still give the beta a try.

Sounds awesome! I didn't get a free code to try out. So, is anyone playing on our BF Bad Company 2 servers? I logged on a few times to find one person; non eGO member, playing. I played a few times and left. Would like to play with more of our clan members on that server.

No code to play here.....but I do try to get on BC2 when I have time. If we got something together and the timing worked out I'd be up for making a night of it

Yes, its an alpha. Game play seemed good. Thought the aiming needs tweaking. Did not like the matchmaking, and many times it would disconnect. Spent too much time not getting SLI working with nvidiaProfileInspector.
