How/Why did you join eGO?

My wife (girlfriend at the time) played a lot of computer games back then in 2010 while i was gaming on consul and doing mlg tournaments and when i started to get back into pc gaming she showed me a new kind of game mode that i never heard of called jailbreak. Now me thinking it was like zombie escape i just had to get out and either kill all the guards and escape or escape without getting caught i was dead wrong. At this point in time i really only played course maps and minigame servers so when i came to the jail server i was happy. Had a great community player base, map based games and no cursing or harassment. It really made my day getting home from work and just rebelling with others on maps. Miss those days of synchronized rebelling or mass suicide just to make the guards confused. Its sad that i missed so much from the breaks i took from playing pc games from 2010 to now but jail was always in the back of my head and i knew if and when i came back to playing pc games i always had a server to come back to with a great community and great players.

I started out just looking for a TTT server in CSGO and stumbled on EGO's. It was the only one populated at the time, and I quickly found myself enamored with the type of people the server attracts. I noticed that, as long as admins are online, they remained civil even when people started getting rowdy. I noticed that the admins especially showed maturity and patience, especially with newcomers and, with it being my first time playing TTT, they took the time to teach me the rules and politely correct me when I broke them. It made the server a consistent pleasure to play on.

I did notice how quickly the toxicity crept into the server once there were no admins online and it got me very frustrated so I decided to do something about it. I joined up and am hoping to move to admin so that I can help maintain the reputation and level of sportsmanship that should be ever present on EGO servers. I also saw this community as something I would love to be a part of so I am very much hoping to establish myself here for the long run.

I started back a year ago in January, invited from a couple buddies of the old roleplaying days on GTA IV. EnviousRG and Bronx. Told me to come over and play. I liked it at the time and really enjoyed the multi-cultured atmosphere. Played for a couple weeks within time, I became a Deputy of the Sheriff's Department. Within the next weeks or so, my computer began to give me issues and wouldn't want to start up or work anymore. So, I had no choice but to depart from the community until I was able to proceed with coming online and being active once more.

This is where this year comes into play. At the beginning of the year, I was getting asked if I was going to come back to EGO or when I would be getting a new PC. At the time, I was dealing with work and life, so the answer that was given was fairly vague. Around last month towards the end on the 26th, I had some money and free time, which ultimately gave me the bright idea of purchasing a gaming laptop from Best Buy. On that day, I came home. Installed TeamSpeak and advised my buddy that I was ready to come back and continue my gaming life/career with EGO. From the end of June to this day, I have and will always be alongside EGO and to aid and come together to make EGO the best community on V and other platforms.

This has been one of the best communities on V (only game that I play FOR NOW) that I know of. My personal opinion of course. Keep it going!

I joined eGO because most of my friends that played the CS servers were part of so I just joined, what could go wrong right?

+1 for the TTT server

I wanted to join a community that was not super strict, but also didnt have a super strict requirement for hours of play. I stumbled upon eGO through a return to Gmod. Honestly, I came to eGO thinking it was a different one, but I wasnt about to leave a fun server. I played, had fun, met some awesome people, some who are now Gs and Os, some before any of them got their e's lol. but now, Im here, and I plan on hopefully staying for quite a bit

Damn... this is an interesting thread... I joined eGO from pG. my pG days were rough... Racism and toxicity flooded the community, and since toxicity is ?contagious? I caught it and started being toxic myself, leading me nowhere except being banned from the server multiple times. The way i heard about pG is what is kind of interesting...
I used to play on this server called Distinction Gaming (dG), which was owned by Kieran (an ex staff member from pG who got removed for a reason which I?m not sure about). I got into pG when I noticed that dG was just a dead community, and they would go on pG servers and just spray stack, it was pretty sad... My first day in oG I got recruit, and the reason for that is pretty stupid... I just went on the pG TeamSpeak and was really apologetic about my act of spraying stack, and they granted me the -pg- tag.

It?s been a long and bumpy road here, but it?s been fun... lost a lot of friends (MidnightFluffy, Voices (really miss this man) and Duny)

Duny was my friend from day one (because we both spoke portuguese) and he was just always there for me. He?d listen to the reason I was banned and help me get unbanned, helped me get recruit and everything a real friend would do, but now I don?t know what happened to him :(
Miss you duny

In 2008, my HS friends/ex found EGO while playing TF2 servers. It was only fate that I joined up as well. Spent like 15 dollars for that bundle and joined TF2 division. Almost a full 10 years have gone by and a couple divisions later..Here I am.

I was addicted to jail and high school in counter strike source and decided to join the community in 2010!

I blame the bus ride to Otakon back in 2013. See Fullmetal and I went to the same University for a bit and he had brought up eGO in the past but never really got into PC gaming till that year. Joined OP:X as it was one of the only divisions that didn't ask for steam ID, mostly because I didn't know how all that worked. Transfered to TF2 later and the rest is history.
